How do YOU make money in RS? - RuneScape Guides and Help - RuneScape Forum

So, how do YOU make money in RS? I am a true believer that you find what you enjoy to make money. The Runescape Wiki has many different ways of making money through skilling, bossing, slayer or just buying and selling items from stores.

Moved over to a better suited section. Sorry I can't tell you how I make cash or else everyone would try it and cut into my mega profits.

Comprehensive Account Security Team work is important; it helps to put the blame on someone else. I fight Vindicta for an hour every day.

An Ice-focused Drakewing who wants to help out! What I don't do is boss fighting. I have zero kills on most bosses.

Probably my most profitable money making in game is buying and selling items on the GE. I try to make 1. I am sure there are items you can buy and sell much faster for profit. To earn GP to start I mostly did Hunter catching Implings and selling them on the GE, and Slayer picking up all drops, as well as Player Owned Ports making and selling armour, and mining red sandstone and selling flasks.

You also might be surprised how much things like collecting sand from Bert in Yanille, pineapples and apples from Del Monti on Karamja if you did the Karamja diary, and just picking up junk people drop at the GE can add up.

All those little things people think are worthless junk even burnt fish can be sold to other players, as long as the items are tradable. Beware of hidden text. The biggest secret to earning GP? If you want 1M GP gather items worth 1K each and sell them, then you have 1m GP.

Or gather items worth 5k each and you will have 1m GP. Or buy , of something for 1k each and sell them for 1.

The only problem is finding which items to gather or buy and sell, because no one is going to tell you their items and have their money making methods ruined. Here is an example of how I find an item: Lets say I need an item for a quest or skill and the GE mid price is 2k. I try to buy the item and it doesn't buy instantly.

So wanting the item immediately I up my offer to 5K. If it didn't buy, or bought for higher than the GE said, that item has potential for profit, at least for that day and hour.

It could change in a day or even in an hour. And the demand for the item may be really low, you might sell one in a month and no more, and that would be why no one else is selling it or wasting a GE slot on the item. But if you are indeed the only seller, you might be able to sell the item for k each when the GE is saying it is 2k each. That is a 50x profit from what the GE says you should get.

I do know such an item and they do sell, very slowly, but its an extra 1m or so a month, which is great if you were not going to use that GE slot anyway, but not the best use of a GE slot if you know something you can buy and sell faster.

If you make 5 GP profit on an item and can sell , of them in a week, that is 1m profit, which in four weeks would be 4m profit, which is more profit than something you sell for k and can only sell ten in a month. People think you need a lot of GP to make a lot which is true, but everyone starts with small amounts and you can easily find YouTube videos showing players making 10m in a day from scratch on a low level account. Ignore the ones that stake, that is not a reliable way to earn GP and a guaranteed way to eventually lose all your GP.

For me, herb farming is just about it. I don't spend much money, so not having much money usually works out okay for me. I have been killing the queen black dragon for the pet and will probably keep doing afterwards because it it good money.
