Language English first Portuguese first Spanish first Any. The workplace culture was good i met some good friends there. Was this review helpful? Great place to work. When I started out working here as a busser then I started opening up olive garden making the place nice and clean.

Service is great but some of the managers were not. Fun Place to work. Great place to work and make money. Friendly co workers with management that will always be there for you. Servers make great money and you get paid same day! You are only allowed 3 tables total and not allowed to take on a party of more than 7 by yourself which makes your tips lower.

I like there isn't any sidework for the servers but I'd rather have more tables and sidework to do than only allowed 3 tables in a section. Food isn't expensive so tips tend to be smaller. I love the environment but if a person has never served before this wouldn't be the first place I suggest they get started.

I am treated like family here. If I ever have a problem I can get help through them.

What It's REALLY Like to Work at Olive Garden

The management is firm yet understanding. I really enjoy my co-workers and the customers that come in.

I have so many memories with the people there. One thing I could say is this is the one well managed restaurant I've ever worked at or dined. Very fun place to work as well, co workers are and have always been awesome and great to work with.

Never encountered any negatives while working here. I have never had better co workers in my life than I did at the Olive Garden. If you worked two jobs the management had no problem working around your other job.

Olive Garden is a great place to work. It was my very first job.

The workplace culture was very diverse. I learned a lot from the team and will always be grateful I had the opportunity to work with the amazing people there. It's easy cash if you're a server but overall I don't recommend working there. It's more trouble than it's worth, no one wants to do their jobs.. We constantly run out of everything and are not set up to do our jobs, the people that come in to eat want mostly free food because they know they can get it. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant.

Fun place to work. Interact with people, train employees, fun over all. Overall it's an okay place to work. It is a restaurant and you have a lot of contact with the guesst so if that is something that you are not comfortable with this may not be the job for you.

Horrible management, and from what I've heard from friends who still work at the store I worked at, it hasn't gotten much better. One manager would constantly act as the "friend" and talk behind other employee's back. Another would get so mad that he couldn't deal with guests and shut himself in the office so no one could "bother" him.. If you ever wanted anything done for you days off, to go home early for family, etc , you'd have to break your back for them, and even then, you were never guaranteed that their end of the promise would hold.

You could work 6 out of 7 days a week, back to back, and on your one day off if you politely declined coming in, they'd be upset with you and give you the bad sections or talk behind your back.

Overall just very unprofessional. Great venue to work for. Great company to work for. Managers i worked under were great to work with. If you've never worked in serving before, here at Olive Garden would be a brilliant place to learn, as i did.

I enjoyed working for Olive Garden for many years. I started in Vestal NY and then relocated to Queensbury NY. I changed career later due to financial reasons. Nice place to work.

Your days go fast because your constantly busy. The best thing is if your not good at cooking this is the place to learn. Management changes all the time. So once your use to your management team, they usually get swapped out by other locations.

Overall i loved this job but advancement in the company is limited. But with the switching of a bunch of managers in the changing of simple policies that made us a family as well as the staff ruined the structure of the restaurant.

Soon there after to many inconsistencies an favoritism!! They had really bad management there. The GM was awful at training and keeping employees motivated. The other mangers didn't seem like they took their jobs that seriously.

Mismanaged, hectic work environment with subpar health and safety conditions. Management does not care about the health and safety of the workers or the customers. Several instances I saw willful violations of health and safety codes, and yet nothing was done with it was pointed out to management.

Theft was a huge problem due to no cameras inside or outside of the entire restaurant. One of the worst parts of working there is that customers expect way too much from the company as a result of bad marketing i.

The only enjoyable part of the job was my fellow server coworkers who shared similar concerns over the state of the restaurant. A typical day will leave you exhausted from walking over three miles on concrete floors and angry because no matter how fast or perfectly you bring food to customers, you're always going to not be tipped appropriately.

Short breaks if any, and no ability for sick-leave in an emergency basically they make you work sick.

If you like being around people this job is awesome. You can joke and really be you if its a fit in the environment Good company, good management small term, good food and hygiene by all employees that work there. I would recommend working there to anyone and would recommend eating there any day.
